# Bank updates and payout schedule timing

> Understand how updating a bank account or modifying a payout schedule can temporarily influence Kajabi payout timing.

Kajabi payouts follow a structured schedule, and actions like updating your bank account or modifying the payout schedule can temporarily influence payout timing. The following sections cover the impact of such changes and how to optimize your payout experience.

## Update bank accounts and the impact on payouts

When you update your bank account details in Kajabi:

**Verification period:** There is a 7-day mandatory verification period during which payouts are temporarily paused. This verification ensures the accuracy of your bank details. Your funds continue to accumulate in your Kajabi Payments balance during this period — no money is lost. After the 7-day period ends, payouts resume automatically on your regular payout schedule, and your first payout will include all funds that accumulated during the hold.

**No immediate payouts:** Even if your payout schedule is set to next-day processing, payouts will not be processed until the 7-day verification delay has passed.

## If bank account verification fails

If Kajabi Payments cannot verify your new bank account details, you will receive an email notification and see an alert on your Dashboard. To resolve this:

1. Double-check your routing number and account number — a single digit error will cause verification to fail.
2. Confirm the account is a supported account type (checking or savings) in a supported region.
3. Re-enter your bank details. A new 7-day verification period will begin.
4. If the issue persists after re-entering correct details, contact [payments.support@kajabi.com](mailto:payments.support@kajabi.com).

## Payout schedules and transaction delays

Kajabi allows you to select from multiple payout schedules (e.g., daily, weekly). However, your payout timing depends on several factors:

**Transaction delay:** During onboarding or account setup, payouts adhere to a transaction delay. For instance, transactions might follow a T+7 rule (transaction date plus 7 days). After this transaction delay elapses, payouts are included in the next eligible schedule. Over time, based on your account history and eligibility, shorter delays might be available.

**Included transactions:** Your payout includes only transactions processed via Kajabi Payments. Transactions processed through PayPal or after your payout schedule's cutoff time will be included in subsequent payments.

## Optimize payout timing

If you need to receive your payouts sooner, consider these options:

**Switch to a daily payout schedule:** You can change your payout schedule to daily via your account settings. Daily schedules ensure transactions are paid out at the earliest eligible time. Allow 1–2 days for schedule changes to take effect.

**Plan changes around schedule timing:** To avoid delays, change your payout schedule after your current payout initiation.

## FAQs

### Which transactions are included in my next Kajabi payout?

Only transactions processed through Kajabi Payments are included in payouts. Transactions from PayPal or those processed after your payout schedule's cutoff will be deferred to the next payout cycle.

### Will next-day processing immediately deposit funds after a bank update?

No. Even with a next-day payout schedule, payouts are subject to both the 7-day verification period for bank updates and transaction delays applicable to your account.

### What happens to my money during the 7-day verification hold?

Your funds are safe. During the 7-day verification hold, your balance continues to accumulate normally — sales still process and revenue is still collected. No payouts are sent during this period, but the funds are not lost. Once verification completes, your next scheduled payout will include everything that built up during the hold.
